GINSTR Basil Smash

A cocktail that has been taking the world by storm since 2008. And at the same time became a real crowd favorite. Whether it was ultimately created in Hamburg or Ulm is debatable!

 Basil Smash

You need:

60ml GINSTR - Stuttgart Dry Gin
30ml fresh lemon
25ml sugar syrup (available from MONIN)
1 hand of fresh basil with stems

Put all ingredients together in a shaker. Now crush the basil with a pestle! It is important not to use it too strongly or for too long, otherwise the basil will quickly become mossy and musty. Then fill the shaker with ice cubes, shake vigorously and pour into a tumbler filled with ice cubes using a strainer and a sieve. And now it’s time to enjoy!
